"Baby Boomer" is a term that refers to anyone born between the 1946 and 1964 period. Most "Baby Boomers" think of their selves as being a special generation due to the notoriety. In 1946 3.4 million more babies were born than in 1945. By the time 1964 came there were approximately76.4 million babies born.These babies made up 40 percent of the nation's population.

There were many booms in the 1950s, but baby boom was the most well known. The baby boom was a period in time when millions of babies were being born. After World War ll ended many americans were eager to have kids for many reason. For example, Between 1945 and 1960, gross national product increased. It grew from $200 billion to come more than $500 billion. This helped many things such as, distribution of veterans benefits, construction of interstate highways and school etc.

These houses suited the lives of young families.This allowed mothers to stay home and work on house work. These homes consisted of an open floor plan and had backgrounds.
